DECEMBER 2023

The VertiLink Infrastructure Group is delighted to announce the selection of Tauranga Moana as the location for New Zealand's first Advanced Air Mobility research programme.

With the full support of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi te Rangi Iwi Settlement Trust Chief Executive Mr. Paora Stanley, VertiLink will begin commencement of the first of its three phase strategic research programme in March of this year.

Research topics will focus on the benefits that an Advanced Air Mobility infrastructure network could provide to the region, and specifically, the region's remote communities. The programme will involve close collaboration with the communities on Matakana and Mōtiti Islands and underpin the development of a strategic network report to be delivered to the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) in Q1 of 2025.
